The Inner Warrior — Original Runic Oil Painting
This original oil painting on an oval canvas explores the Inner Warrior who knows not only how to overcome obstacles, but also how to master their own strength.
Against an abstract background dominated by rich orange, interspersed with accents of red, blue and green, a complex composition of interconnected runic symbols unfolds. Energetic brushstrokes, contrasting colours and expressive textures create a sense of movement, tension and inner dynamism.
At the centre of the runic composition is Tiwaz, the rune of determination, willpower and purposeful action. Together with Uruz, which embodies vital force and a powerful driving impulse, it creates an energy of breakthrough — the determination to overcome obstacles and move forward. Dagaz introduces the theme of transformation, the transition into a new state and the possibility of a favourable turn of events. Yet this force is not directed towards uncontrolled movement.
Two Isa runes, positioned on either side of the composition, symbolise stillness, restraint and inner control. They seem to pause the powerful current of action, creating space for reflection, considered decisions and the balancing of opposing forces. Isa reminds us of the cyclical nature of events and of how a timely pause can become an essential part of moving forward.
Algiz introduces the themes of protection and grounding — the ability to maintain inner stability and awareness in moments of tension.
Gebo plays a central role in resolving the inner conflict. As a symbol of exchange, interaction and communication, it becomes the connecting link between opposing impulses and forces, helping to restore balance between action and restraint, strength and awareness.
In this composition, strength reveals itself not only through the ability to act, but also through the ability to master oneself, recognise the right moment and find balance between opposing directions.
The Inner Warrior knows when to act, when to pause and how to preserve their strength without losing balance.
This is a work about the Inner Warrior who knows not only how to overcome obstacles, but also how to master their own strength.
